Just picked this up off the wire. Mike McPhee, the first hockey
player from RPI to make it in the NHL (except Don Cutts, who didn't
stick) has retired from the Dallas Stars. McPhee, who is 35, missed
all of last season with a knee injury that he sustained in the pre-season.
He played 12 seasons in the NHL, 9 with Montreal, and 3 with the
Stars (Minnesota/Dallas), and is best remembered for being a hard-working
gritty-type player.

It was announced that he will be taking a job with the Dallas-based
trading card firm Pinnacle Brands.
