Although it's not huge up here at Dartmouth, it's my understanding that
"sieving" is pretty big in the ECAC as well.
On a road trip I took down to Harvard in February, I observed the Harvard band
serenade Dartmouth's goalie with "Sieve! Sieve! Sieve! Sieve!" at the beginning
of each period and after Harvard scored (only once in the Dartmouth-Harvard
game, since Dartmouth won 2-1).
 
I know they do it in Lynah (Cornell) as well, and figured it was common thruout
most of the nation, but I guess not....
