UHN beat NU friday night 5-2, all five goals were scored by a player named
Eric. Eric Nickulas had two goals, Eric Flinton, Eric Royal,
and Eric Boguniecki each had one. The following night UNH traveled to
Matthews Arena where Flinton, Nickulas, and Boguniecki each scored in another
UNH victory. Eric Johnson ( Winnetka,Il.) played well on defense all weekend.
With the two wins UNH has put a lock  on thrid place in HE.
UNH last surrendered a power play goal on Jan. 9th. They currently have a
streak of some 62 consecutive short handed situations without giving up a
goal and 81 out of  82.
Note on size of rinks. NU will expand the size of the ice surface at
Matthews Arena to 200 x 90 at the end of this year. They referred to it as
being Olympic Sized?  Whatever, this will be great place to watch a game!
