The ECAC/USAir Player of the Week was Vermont forward Martin St. Louis, who
was 2-4-6 at the Auld Lang Syne Classic and was named tournament MVP.
The ECAC/USAir Rookie of the Week was St. Lawrence goaltender Clint Owen,
who had 29 saves against Calgary in a 4-4 tie, allowed only one goal in the
shootout, and then had 31 saves against Saskatchewan in a 2-1 win. This is
Owen's third Rookie of the Week award.
Oddity noted in the ECAC report: Colgate is 1-5-1 against the ECAC and 4-1
against Hockey East, with wins over Merrimack, Mass Lowell (twice), and Mass
Amherst, and a loss to New Hampshire.
