It was announced today that Mark Mazzoleni (sp?) was hired as the new
 assistant coach. He replaces Jack Blatherwick, who resigned at the end of the
 90-91 season to work with Dave Peterson and the 1992 Olympic team. Mazzoleni
 played on the St. Paul Vulcans when Doug Woog was the Vulcans' coach.
 
 Mazzoleni beat out favorite and former Gopher Mike Guentzel for the job.  I
 haven't the foggiest idea where he played his college hockey. Perhaps one of
 you will know.
 
 The Gophers 91-92 schedule is still in the air as the WCHA commissioner is
 trying to solve the "all of winter quarter on-the-road" problem for the
 Gophers. As soon as it's resolved, I will post it! (Woog's secretary has prom-
 ised to call me when it's ready!!)
