I got this off of rec.sport.hockey from a reader in Sweden.

The World Championship in hockey in Finland starting on 19:th of
april and ending on 4:th of may offers 16 intensive days filled with
high class icehockey for hockey loving fans all over the world.

The teams of the World Championship 1991 are:

	1. USSR
	2. Canada
	3. USA
	4. Sweden
	5. Finland
	6. Czechoslovakia
	7. Switzerland
	8. Germany (the united one!)

Favourites to the WC title are, as always, Team USSR. But look out
	for Canada, Sweden and Finland!

At first, Canada were going to send their olympic team to the WC,
probably because of the big disappointment in the tournament last
year (the rough and tough play of the canadians was sad to see...).
But they changed their mind recently and decided to send a team of
NHL players instead. A wise decision. And this year, they should be
able to come up with a pretty good squad, since the first round of
the Stanley Cup playoffs will be finished before the WC starts.

Team Sweden has shown an impressive shape with 9 wins out of 10 in
practise games. Team Finland will, of course, have an advantage of
	hosting the tournament this year.

The tournament is divided into two rounds. In the first round every
team gets to play every other team. In the second round, the four
best teams from the first round robin play each other once again,
starting at zero points. The remaining four teams also play each
other once again, but they keep their points from the first round.

The games of the first round are played as follows:

	19/04/91:
       Czechoslovakia - Finland
       Sweden - Germany
       Canada - USA
       USSR - Switzerland

	20/04/91:
	   Finland - Sweden
	   USA - Czechoslovakia
	   Canada - Switzerland
	   Germany - USSR

	22/04/91:
	   Finland - USSR
	   Sweden - USA
