Well, I can tell you all from first hand embarrassment that about 4 years
ago my dad's season tickets were in section 24A, row 1 in old Mariucci.
He wasn't too shy about standing on the bench, leaning over the glass
and giving Buzzy (or whomever was missing the game) a piece of his mind.
My tickets were up a few rows, and I would watch in sheer horror as
Mr. Happy (*Pam, are you referring to the usher with all the pins on his
hat?*) would take a walk down the stairs and threaten my father in front
of everyone. Of course, he never got kicked out, but he was threatened
at least once a game. They never hassled any visiting fans.

Today, at the new Mariucci, (and guys, you NEVER heard this from me)
they have a video system, run by a guy with too much time on his hands who
scouts the crowd looking for alcohol bottles, and guys chewing and spitting
into their souvenir cups. Half the baseball team (who had tickets a few
rows ahead of me last year) was kicked out one game for chewing tobacco.
Now, there's a threat to the players and fans alike. Oh, and if any of you
Gopher fans are wondering where the camera is....in the TV press box,
roughly above section 20.
