Subject: Pierre at SLU
 
Hello to all:
 
            Thought I'd put my two cents towards the issue of Pierre.
Every year he refs at SLU.  How many games?  I don't know the precise
number, but enough that the fans recognize him.  He is booed from the
minute he steps on the ice, and fans in the North Country have their
own special cheers for Pierre which I am unable to print here.  We,
here at SLU, have yet to figure out why he is still allowed to coach
Saints games, for his officiating is terrible.  We marvel at how he is
not allowed to ref at Clarkson, and remain between states of jealousy
and anger.  Jealousy at the fact that Clarkson no longer puts up with
his negative attitude towards the North Country teams (Saints and the
Knights); anger at the ECAC for allowing him to continue to ref games.
Perhaps he was decent enough earlier in his career.
             The question I ask all of you:  how do the leagues rid
themselves of bad officials?  When do they realize that enough is
