Consider the following:
On January 12, Brown plays R. P. I. at Houston Field House Score:
Brown 4 R. P. I. 1
On January 13, Brown plays Union at Achilles Rink Score:
Brown 2 Union 2 (OT)
On February 2, Union plays Brown at Meehan Auditorium Score: Brown
2 Union 2 (OT)
On February 3, R. P. I. plays Brown at Meehan Auditorium Score: Brown
4 R. P. I. 1
Even more intriging, on February 24, 1995, in the next previous game played
between Brown and Union (at Achilles Rink), the final score ended in a 2-2
overtime tie.
The Brown overall season record now stands at 7-7-7. They pay off bigtime
in Atlantic City & Vegas on those numbers, but Division I jackpots require
much higher digits in the first column. The last column, however, is
becoming a real curiosity. When was the last time a D-1 team played
one-third of its games thru overtime -- without a single one of the ties
being broken?
