RPI resumes it's ECAC schedule this weekend with a pair against Colgate
and Cornell.
Things to look for:
1) Can the Engineers retain their scoring touch? 23 goals last week
in the RPI Invitational led to the breaking out of scoring slumps for
a few players, notably Jeff Gabriel and Eric Perardi.
2) Will the 2 teams play a game with hard checking and physical play
and not let the Engineers get through the neutral zone? If the
Engineers can stop this and jump out to good finesse play, the Engineers should
handle both teams.
3) Injury sitautions. Will Pat Rochon (day to day, shoulder) and Jeff
O'Connor (knee) be back? Rolanti is lost for the Colgate game due to
his game disqualification for fighting. 5 defensemen and 13 forwards?
If this is the case and Rochon and O'COnnnor can not play
will Buddy dress Maye and Kwasniewski, and will either see much ice time?
4) Complacency. These are the games that people say the Engineers should win.
Will that lull them?
See ya at Starr and Lynah!
