Okay, I posted too soon on this one.  I read my mail before reading
clari.sports.hockey, which says
        "Constantine 34, ....is the youngest coach in the National Hockey
        League and joins Paul Holmgren of the Hartford Whalers as the only
        current U.S.-born coaches in the NHL."
I guess that's a definitive answer to our question!
