WOW!!!
Michigan 1 - Minnesota 5!
Michigan State 4 - Wisconsin 0
Minnesota outhustled, outshot and outscored the #1 Ranked Michigan
Wolverines at Mariucci Arena Friday night. Minnesota also unveiled
their third jerseys of the season, white throwbacks with GOPHERS
diagonally down the front. Personally, I will miss the gold ones we
traditionally have had.
Ryan Potulny who leads the Nation in goals scored, got two in a row
early in the first period. Also scoring were: Jake Fleming, Gino Guyer
and Mike Vannelli.
Michigan got it's only goal in the second period and was not much of a
threat.
Michigan coach Red Berenson replaced top ranked goalie Al Montoya at the
beginning of the third period with Noah Ruden. It looked like Montoya
had a really bad game.
With five minutes left in the third, Michigan was treated to a very loud
round of "Over-rated!".
Wonderful to see the Gophers bounce back from a mediocre showing at
Denver last weekend.
Wisconsin was spanked in Madison this evening by the Spartans 4-0.
Tomorrow's games should be very interesting.
