The talk of the MacNaughton cup got me thinking about the Big 10/11
issue. It would not be easy given the split between conferences, and I
am not offering details on how something like it could be arranged, but
why not form an annual award to the top Big 10/11 team in Div. 1?
Something the schools could fight for from year to year? Certainly the
combined resources of all the fine institutions could devise a way to
fairly award something to one team each year.

Ohio has the "Ohio Cup" which is awarded to the top Div. 1 team in Ohio.
Although it is easy given that all the teams play in the CCHA.

Tech has the MacNaughton cup given to the top school in its league.

Why not create something new, use some brain power, and do something
new?
