I'm not advocating the thesis I threw out for discussion, but I feel
strongly that the criteria for deciding the issue is *not* merely how
many players make the pros from each league.  That should not be the main
factor, let alone *the* factor.
 
The pros, thankfully, are a different game.  I'm proud of the BU players
(many) that have gone on to successful pro careers, but some of my
favourite and I think most valuable *at BU* players never played in the
pros, or saw limited action.
