Actually, FUBAR is better expanded as "...beyond all *recognition*,"
since when applied in its original context (severe intoxication) it has
that Zen quality of applying simultaneously to both the observer's and
the observed's perception.
Speaking of which:
The Master and the Student are waiting on line for ice cream at the Katmandu
Carvel.
The Student asks, "Will you have a vanilla or a chocolate," master?
The Master replies gravely, "No," and takes one of each.
The Student observes, "Now I am enlightened."
This, of course, is an ice cream koan.
Just something to XOR-cise the mind...
