Thanks to Neil for posting the details on PC-BU. Neil said that 4
players from each team were assessed fighting DQs. I believe that
with BU getting a bye into the semifinals, BU will be minus those
players for BOTH games they play in the Garden, whether their second
game is the championship or consolation. The reason is that Hockey
East has a stricter regulation on fighting DQs than is required by the
NC$$. The NC$$ requires at least a one-game suspension for any player
receiving a game disqualification (2 games for 2nd offense in a season, 3
for 3rd, etc.). But several years ago, after the Lowell-NU and
NU-Merrimack brawls, the league began tacking on an additional game
suspension of its own for any player receiving a DQ for fighting in a
Hockey East game.

This would also mean that PC would be without its four players for its
first two quarterfinal games.

I haven't actually heard that the players involved will miss two
games. But if they don't, it would be a radical change in policy from
the one the league has followed since 1989.
