Here is TCHCR +PLUS+. The twist--all 51 Division I college hockey teams
are included. Yes, the Ionas and Holy Crosses have been thrown in with
the "big boys". The seven teams that are included here but do not
qualify for the NCAA D1 Tournament are: Canisius, Mass-Amherst, UConn,
Fairfield, Iona, Villanova and Holy Cross.
See my post to hockey-l last week for an explanation on why these 7
teams are considered Division I even though they play a Division
III-quality schedule.
Why am I doing this? For fun, plus to raise the awareness that these D1
programs really do exist. If anyone could pass this on to folks at
these 7 schools, I'd really appreciate it. For example, I hear that
there are folks at Holy Cross that do not believe me when I say they
have a Division I team there. With so few D1 hockey programs around, we
need to look out for *all* of our siblings.
And remember, as always, TCHCR is not used in conjunction with the NCAA
selection process.

PERFORMANCE is based on won-lost record only; game sites and margin of victory
are not considered, for example. Performance ranges from +100 (for an
undefeated and untied team) to -100 (for a winless and untied team), with
a .500 winning percentage getting a zero performance.
SCHEDULE is the average rating of a team's opponents.
RATING is the sum of performance and schedule and represents an evaluation of
how each team has done so far with respect to the rest of college hockey.
Based on 593 Division I games. All games played among the 51 Division I hockey
teams are considered. Teams marked with * are not eligible for the NCAA
tournament because they have not scheduled 20 Division I games this season.
Maine's games with Providence are not included, pending a final decision from
the NCAA.
