Well, Clarkson's season took a turn for the better the last two
weekends. A sweep of their archrival St Lawrence Saints raised
their ECAC record to 3-2-1.
These were clearly the two best games of the season so far for
the Golden Knights. They scored first in both games (the only
times this season they've drawn first blood). Goalie Jason Currie
played solidly in both games and was, IMO, the first star of
this weekend's game, with 30 saves. Brian Mueller was the team's
Ray Bourque as he must have played at least 35-40 minutes in
Saturday's game. The offense seemed to stall after the first
period on Saturday, especially in the third when SLU outshot them,
11-1 in the period's first fifteen minutes.
