Steve Gallichio writes that Jeff Jackson is expected to be hired by the
Hartford Whalers as an assistant coach.  I assume he is making reference
to the column in Sunday's Hartford Courant to that effect by Jeff Jacobs.
Jacobs is a pretty thorough jounalist, so my guess is that he is probably
in the know on this one.  I do know that Jackson stopped in Hartford on
the way back from the Shrine game, but I assumed it was a side trip
to Amherst, MA.
