In a game which should be better remembered for the measles
cops at the door, Vermont beat Yale 5 - 2 at Ingalls rink in New Haven.
The first period was a well played, 2- 2 tie. Vermont took over in the
second period, scoring the tie breaker then adding two in the third.
Soucy for Vermont played an outstanding game in the net; this guy
deserves some national recognition. Yale was again weak defensively,
which is a problem they sorely need to rectify if they intend to make
the next step nationally. They have a tendency to cough up the puck in
the defensive zone when pressured, which Vermont took advantage of this
afternoon.
