Well, Clarkson fans are certainly frustrated. After the ECAC title
and NC$$ Final Four appearance of 1991, we went "only" 22-10-1 in 1992
and lost the ECAC title on the last day of the season. This season,
after being ranked #5 in the preseason, Clarkson is a mere 8-9-4, including
losses to Dartmouth and Princeton but a win over St Lawrence and a tie
to #1 Maine.
I know that fans here are rather frustrated but i dont here quite the
same caustic remarks made by the Minnesota "fans" that Gary quoted
(I know they are a minority). I havent heard any calls for Coach Mark
Morris' scalps. Fans have been grumbling about the inconsistent play
(especially their vaunted offense) but it is just that, grumbling,
not much more serious than that.
Woog has never finished below second in his 6 or 7 years at UM.
For anyone to say that the UMinn program is an embarassment (except
, perhaps a Badger fan :) is a patently absurd comment that one would
expect from Don Cherry (or Rush Limbaugh).
