As has been mentioned on the list recently, the 1955-56 Clarkson Golden
Knights turned down their invitation to the NCAA Tournament because they had
eight four-year varsity players who could not compete in the NCAA Tourney,
and so the players voted not to go (you'll recall that Clarkson had a perfect
season up to that point).  My question is, when did the NCAA start allowing
four-year players to go to the tournament?
