Scores from the first round of the Mariucci Classic, Saturday Jan. 2, 1992:
 
St Lawrence 7, Illinois-Chicago 1
Ferris State 6, Minnesota 4      (????? !!!!!!!! @@##$%!!)
 
The Ferris State Bulldogs scored five goals in the first period, and hung
on for the win, scoring an empty-netter in the last minute of play.  The
Gophers scored at 0:09 of the first, then took most of the rest of the
evening off.
