For those of us who have suffered for decades in the ECAC with inadequate
levels of referees,  this is a most hopeful sign.  Let's hope the ECACHL
gives Paul the support he will need to fix one of the ECAC's most pressing
problems. If he is successful, perhaps he can move to the NCAA level and try
to reach the Holy Grail; consistent referee-ing across all college hockey

ECAC Hockey has again changed its Supervisor of Officials, but this time may
have landed someone with staying power.

Paul Stewart, a one-time National Hockey League referee and former player at
Penn, was named by the league.
