the 21st banquet was held today at the garden of the gods club.

eric ehn, matt charbonneau, and frank schiavone.

the blue line club's offensive and defensive players of the year
were eric ehn and billy devoney

the academic recognition went to ben worker

the strength and conditioning award went to brian gineo

jim bowman presented the jim bowman scholar athlete award to ben worker

worker doubled up when he got the most improved player award. He
progressed from a walk on to a starter in his senior year.

former coach john matchefts was not there to present in person, but the
john matchefts fourth classman (freshman) of the year award went
to jeff hajner.

larry cronk presented the larry cronk most inspirational player award
(as voted by the team) to billy devoney

devoney doubled up when assistant coach mike corbett presented him
with the defensive player of the year award

chuck delich presented the chuck delich most valuable player award to
eric ehn

devoney tripled up when athletic director hans mueh presented the vic
heyliger award (player, chosen by the team, whose dedication,
character, leadership, and work ethic exemplifies falcon hockeyi) to
him.

coach serratore's remarks were entertaining as usual. On the subject
of the hobey baker award, he pointed out that neal broton got the
first hobey in 1981. He observed that had the award been offered back
in the mid 70s, chuck delich, air force all time scoring leader and
still in the top 10 natiuonally would have been a nominee and probably
a winner.
