Is it not true that using recent game performances, other than the single
game performance of a tournament winner, is also using game performances?.
Doesn't it all come down to weight's given to game performances, whether it
is a weight given to recent, for playing against top opponents, etc.  The
original post was basically about using recent performance instead of
equally weighing all after "other adjustments" performances in games
throughout the year. Some extreme examples were so characterized and given
to emphasize the importance of using current information.  Bob Hamilton
