Ya well, Ellen, it wasn't the lack of participation by "your kind" I was
lamenting, . . . not after last weekend. :-) Do you know how many
beers you have to buy in a Texas sports bar to watch both those games on
the same weekend and only go home with one point?

For non-CCHAers who didn't follow last week's MSU-UM series, it was one
of those weekends when both schools claim some measure of victory. For
Michigan, salvaging a tie on Friday on the strength a goal in the last
two minutes was enough to shut down the hopes for the regular season
championship the Spartans would have gained with a sweep. And with the
help of Ohio State (another phrase that makes Wolverines shudder),
Michigan held on to edge Miami for the regular season championship.
MSU's partial victory was the 3-point weekend they got when they broke
the 0-0 tie with five minutes left on Saturday. For full revenge, the
Spartans needed the Buckeye's help but didn't get it.

Michigan State has some of the greatest hockey fans to be found. That
sneaky psychological tactic they pull to get Michigan off their game
with that deathly silence at Munn is hockey's cleverest strategy.
