Today's Boston Herald has some nice copy on college hockey.  Here is the URL:

One item of note was Rhode Island's new rink appears to be on target.  It looks like they're pushing for varsity status for both the men's and women's teams.

It would seem that the MAAC or HEA  would be the best fit.  The MAAC because most of the schools are close to URI, HEA because of the natural rivalry with Providence.  Also that would give HEA 10 teams which is a nice round number.....
