Actually, the closest school to San Jose would be one of the Colorado schools.
Fairbanks is about 5-6 hrs away with the Colorado schools about 3.

Yes, Ed Zander, president of Sun Microsystems is an RPI alum and server on the
Science Advisory Board of RPI.  Both he and CEO Scott McNealy are huge hockey
fans.
