By plain statute miles, Fairbanks is closer. By how long it actually
takes to get here to San Jose, it's Troy.

I don't know about bigwig RPI alums in the valley, but I do know that
there are a number of ECAC grads (Clarkson and St Lawrence) in the SJ
Sharks organization, and a number of Cornell and Harvard grads in the
exec wings of a number of corporations out here.

The Sharks sent out a survey to the club seat holders (of which I'm
one) about the possibility of holding an NCAA frozen four here--since
most of us are imports from hockey playing areas, I suspect that the
response was quite positive.
