There are no good answers to this one; you can find a large and vocal
group that will argue either way.

Yes, as far as I know this is true at every level of play.

It's hard to divine the notions of any particular fans, but they would
be foolish to do so; even in leagues where fighting is "permitted,"
like the NHL, fights (let alone good ones) are hardly guaranteed in a
game and I would not be surprised if there were more games without
fights than with them. At the college level (which this list is about,
last I knew), it would be all the more foolish because fighting is so
heavily discouraged (minimum of one game suspension for involvement)
that it is very rare (only a handful of incidents throughout college
hockey in a season).
