I am convinced that college hockey can and will grow if we facilitate its
transition from regional to national sport- Alabama Huntsville and UNO are
great examples ot schools that have opened virgin markets for hockey. We need
the Penn States and Illinois, Purdue et al to move forward. (they probably
need to and should create womens teams at the same time)
 
a successful program can be run without losing money and a good rink on
campus generates much positive good will for the school as the rink will be
used around the clock by clubs and high schools and as a summer camp
