Re celebrity fans:  The camera did show Ralph Engelstad.  He may have been
the closest thing to a UND celebrity alum that was in attendance.  I also
saw Peter Lynch (mutual fund guru) there in BC colors, although I did not
hear the broadcasters mentio him.
 
As for the Gionta empty-netter...Unless you are 100% sure of the time on the
clock, there's zero chance that a player would ever decide not to score.
Many people have surmised as to whether he knew of the time or not, but
unless he did, he would have been a fool not to make sure of the win.
