I was just reading through John Whelan's website about the
NC$$ selection process and it brought a question to mind.

A friend of mine is the team doctor for Williams College
in Williamstown,MA. They are Division III and belong to a
conference which allows their member schools to participate
in only one post season tournament. For the past 2 seasons,
Williams has had a good team. They decided to forego
playing in the ECAC Div. III tournament, hoping to be selected
for the NC$$. Both years, the NC$$ selection committee
failed to select Williams and they were out of luck.

My question: does Div. III use the PWR or something similar
to choose the entrants to their NC$$ tournament? Should the
Williams staff have known that they weren't going to be
selected and taken their shot in the ECAC? Or is Div. III
still completely in the Dark Ages when it comes to selection time?
