> How about the BEST college hockey game you ever saw....
Thank you for the deft subject switch, Carol!
My vote goes to the 1986 double-overtime ECAC semifinal between Cornell and
Yale at the old Boston Garden. The finest goaltending display I've ever
seen (both being fantastic all the way through), great defense, inspired
and timely offense, and two outstanding teams playing with absolute
confidence and energy, in the most wonderfully atmospheric building for
hockey.
Also, the game winning goal, a combination effort by Joe Nieuwendyk and
Duane Moeser, is simply the prettiest, most authoritative goal I've ever
seen at any level of the game.
