I ran into HE Commissioner, Joe Bertagna, at the BC-UMaine game last night.
He confirmed the rumor published on the Hockey-L list. That is, the two
Hockey East participants agreed to forego "home" games and play their
scheduled ECAC opponents. Maine was scheduled to play Colgate in Portland, ME
next season; while UNH had 19 home dates scheduled for next year so UNH agreed
to move their RPI home date to MSG on December 22. Once again the "Hockey-L"
list puts forth accurate information.

I, for one, hope that the MSG games prove successful and the old "ECAC Holiday
Hockey Festival" is restored. Some great ECAC tournaments were held in the
old MSG during the Christmas break in the 1960's and early 1970's.

Does anyone rember some of the pairings. Boston College participated in that
tournament in 1961, '62, '63, '65', '69, and '71.
