According to a small article in the Boston Globe, The Metro Atlantic
Athletic Conference will hold a news conference in Hartford on Thursday to
annouce the formation of the new Div. 1 hockey league. It lists the eight
initial teams as: Quinnipiac, Connecticut, Fairfiled, Sacred Heart,
American Internation, Holy Cross, Canisius, and Iona. It also says that
Bentley will apply. Bentley apparently didn't join earlier because it was
in the process of getting a new president.
The article didn't mention that the president arrived this summer and came
to Bentley from RPI. In a memo from the new president introducing himself
he mentioned that he has 2 sons and atleast one of them is a hockey fan.
On a different topic: Joel Prpic (from St. Lawrence) has signed a 2 year
contract with the Boston Bruins. He is playing in the preseason games thus
far.
I am looking forward to the upcoming season.
Let's go SAINTS!!!
