To echo Jennifer's thoughts, I agree that the reply perhaps the most
editorially informative thread I've read over the entire year.  He
differentiated fans from fanatics.  I like to think that during the last
few years, I've evolved from the latter into the former.
 
If we garnished a Thread of the Year prize at this year's Banquet, I know
I'd vote for it in a heartbeat.
