First and foremost, I need to apologies for the lack of my being about to match
names with numbers for the Alabama-Huntsville players... The little that I do
have was what I was able to gather from the announcements. In addition, AH's
total shots on goal is correct, but I am unsure of the exact numbers of shots
spilt up by period.

The game started off very well for the University of Alaska, Anchorage, as they
scored two goals (within 15 seconds of each other) in the first seven minutes.
However, Alabama was quick to let everyone know that they were infact there,
and
returned with two goals of their own within the next seven minutes. The period
itself was rather slow moving I thought, and control of the puck appeared to be
evenly split between the teams...

However, I do think that the Seawolves received a little pep talk from Coach
Brush Christiansen, as they came out storming in the second. As far as I could
tell, Alabama only had control of the puck in the UAA zone for about 30 seconds
then entire period. UAH's downfall in the period was definitely their lack of
discipline, as UAA went six for six in the power-play. In addition UAA scored
four more even-up goals. Although many of UAA's goals were very nice plays,
one of which I though was exceptional was one that Lorne Knauft (1st of two for
the night) drilled hard and fast from the blue line. Derek Donald (three
assists and one goal during the night) also fed Steve Bogoyevac (two assists
and one goal) a beautiful pass in the crease. When UAH did score, the only UAA
defenceman even around was Lorne Knauft; it appeared that the puck apparently
slipped under Paul Krake's hand, but it was difficult for me to see.

UAA started the third period shorthanded, and proceeded to score a short handed
goal at 1:18 into the period. UAH responded with what I though was a very soft
goal at 2:07. After Mark Stitt took a penalty for hooking, UAA again scored a
short handed goal at 3:00. In the next ten minutes, both teams skated hard,
and there were no goals or penalties. However, Mark Stitt scored at 14:46,
finishing off the scoring for the game. After receiving a good pass from Troy
Norcross, he skated slowly by the Alabama net. The goalie went down, and he
popped it home. The goalies for both teams played rather well in the third,
and Paul Krake made a couple of exceptional rebound saves.

Now, for Seawolf all time records broken...there were several:

o Most power play goals in a game, now 6
o Most power play goals in a period, now 6
o Most goals scored in a period, now 10
o Most assists in a period, now 18
o Most total points in a period, now 28
o Tied the record for most short handed goals in a period, 2

Although all of the Seawolves played well, and there were SEVERAL beautiful
plays (too many to name), the following Seawolf players each had two goals in
the game:

o Kevin Brown
o Mark Stitt
o Lorne Knauft
o Brain Kraft
o Trent Pankewicz
