I have a number of comments about recent posts. This is
a slow hockey news time of the year so please allow me to
ramble.

1)To go along with the themes of hockey weddings, my best friend
married the daughter of the band director of the University of Wisconsin.
I was the best man. Jeff Sauer (UW hockey coach) was in attendence.
Not only did I meet him, he drove around the newly-weds, the
maid of honor and myself in a big red van called the Bucky Van.
Way cool.
My own wedding is about to happen. I was able to convince my future
wife that Cardinal and White were perfect colors for a wedding (I had
to promise her the flowers would be all roses). But I couldn't
convince her that the perfect place for the wedding would be center
ice at the Dane County Coliseum with Bucky Badger officiating.

2)Include Wisconsin goalie Daubenspeck as a returning net-minder.
With Dauber back Wisconsin a legit shot at a three finish. For this
to happen though, the defense had better improve and play consistent.

3)I think having the Phinal Phour in CA is an excellent idea. The
game must expand into new regions if it to grow in popularity. Of
course one can smell commercialism. That is the way one developes
a following. GAry Bettman (SP?) recognizes that and that is why
the NHL is growing as well. Stanley Cup finals in the state of
Florida was a perfect end to the season. We all want more
exposure for college hockey (none more than myself as I sit in
central Indiana). This is the way to do it.

well, gotta go
