As an ECAC fan let me just say:

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRGH!!!

Just got back from the local sports bar, watching CC 4, UVM
3(2OT); can't post a decent summary, but a few impressions/facts:

#1: NO GOAL! NO GOAL! As Martin St. Louis complained, and the replay
clearly showed, CC's winning goal bounced off the crossbar, was batted
by the CC attacker's glove, then went off Thomas into the net. Too
bad there's no replay in College. (I know, not generally feasible,
but perhaps in the finals.)

#2: The ice was getting so warm by the time the overtimes rolled
around that they were planning to split the 2nd OT into 10-minute
halves; there was less than a minute on the clock when CC, er, scored.

#3: Phil Eboli scored the tying goal, and his line had several good
chances late in regulation. So it's not all St. Louis, Perrin and
Ruid.

#4: UVM, after being largely outplayed for the first three periods,
Spent most of the first ten minutes of OT on the attack. But they
seemed to wear out, and did nothing on the power play that ended the
first OT.

#5: ESPN's Bob Norton kept talking about what a good showing the ECAC
made this year. It warmed my heart.

#6: Gratuitous fuel: Frank Cole was one of the refs in this game. ;-)

The rest, I leave to those more qualified.
