The conference tournaments are a device to earn money. They are exciting
because the fans and players take them seriously, and I enjoy them as
well. However, I believe that the regular season is undervalued. But
then again, I'm for limiting the playoffs in the leagues to four teams to
*really* make the regular season count. If they did it that way I'd
probably agree more with the above comments. YMMV.
