I pulled out my Minnesota Hockey Yearbook and found:
Minnesota has been over .500 and over 20 wins every year since at least 1982.

For 1982, their overall record was 22-12-2, but since 3 of those wins came
in the WCHA playoffs, they were 19-11-2 in the regular season. I don't
know if this counts as 20 wins by Rick's method or not.

The last time they were below .500 is also the last time they were under 20
wins for the entire year: 1976-77, 17-22-3
