From one of the fine people who was there, St. Luigi's Girls School for the
Blind, Deaf, and Mute could have beaten Michigan State tonight. Once again,
given the opportunity to control their own destiny, the Spartans have found
a way to stink the joint out. Save for a three-minute span in Notre Dame
nine days ago, the Spartans have been outscored 17-3 in their last three games.

Give BG credit, they beat MSU badly tonight. But the Spartans basically
handed the game to them, with really, really, really, REALLY sloppy play
all around tonight.

They win the series 2-1, but MSU still controls its own destiny. A win
tomorrow (as really unlikely as that sounds right now) at Michigan would
give MSU the title by themselves, given WMU's loss at UAF last night. A tie
or a loss, and they'll most likely finish third. (We win the tiebreaker
with WMU, but any three- or four-way tie and the Spartans are SOL.)

Thanks for the gift last weekend, Lakers, but we're finding a way to urinate
it away. We've stomped on it, spit on it, chewed it up, without even opening
it. Maybe we can fix it by Friday. (I doubt it, but there's always hope.)

Maybe it's a good thing PASS is tape-delaying tomorrow night's game until 3am,
since I have a feeling MSU is riding into another slaughter, and only one of
my senses will be assaulted tomorrow night with MSU blowing away what little
hopes they have now of winning the CCHA crown.
