Here is a dissenting vote for the addition of the dog on the BU uniform,
and a general endorsement for a uniform number on the front *and* back of
uniforms.  If one regularly follows a team numbers cease to be needed
relatively quickly, but for road teams I can't even begin to add up the
number of times I've thougtht "turn around" when I wanted to identify a
player.
 
I also wish more teams would emulate BU and make the numbers on the
uniforms large and clear, too many teams worry more about graphics than
legibility from a distance.
