A few years ago, it was Mankato's intent to go Div I.  This hasn't
happened yet for a number of reasons.
 
In light of the fact that Don Amiot (Mankato's AD) has been appointed to
the NCAA Men's Ice Hockey Committee as the Div II-III representative,
would it be more likely for Mankato to try to join the WCHA or return to
the NCHA as the 10th team?  Just more food for thought.
