Well, the NHL teams that I think would hire (or search) from the college
ranks would be Boston, Pittsburgh, and Anaheim.  Los Angeles in my
estimation would be a longer shot.
 
The clubs that I mentioned all have superior (compared to other NHL clubs)
connections with the college rank.  Pittsburgh's Craig Patrick has tapped
into great coaching talent before, and I think he will continue to do so
when Eddie Johnston decides to step down...
 
As for the B's, I think that Sinden will not look at far to find a
replacement.  I do think that Walsh would be a nifty fit for the Bruins
(if he does decide to make that leap).  It will be interesting to see
what plays out....
