Adirondack Red Wings head coach Newell Brown (formerly of
Michigan Tech) was interviewed between the first and second
period Thursday night's playoff game with the Albany River
Rats. He said the following about the newly acquired Mike
Knuble.
--------------------begin paraphrasing-----------------------
Mike practiced with the team on Thursday morning, and looked
impressive. He is a big player and shoots the puck well, as
his college stats attest. He reminded Brown of Ray Sheppard,
currently playing for Detroit. He has not skated much since
the NCAA Finals, so he did not play Thursday. It looks like
he will get his first pro start on Saturday night in Albany.

Let's hope this kid's got what it takes...we need all the help
we can get!
