Mike Sheehan tells me that three ex-HE players played for the Crunch
(AHL) over the weekend.  Mark Cornforth of Merrimack had an assist in
Friday's 5-3 loss at Rochester.  Cornforth, Travis Tucker (Lowell),
and Jacque Rodrigue (Maine) all played Saturday night in Albany.  I
had not known that Rodrigue had also signed with Syracuse.
 
In talking about Cornforth at Friday's Merrimack banquet, coach Ron
Anderson said he was probably playing as he spoke - "...unless he's
been thrown out already." :-)  That was probably in reference to the
Feb 24th BU-Merrimack game when Cornforth was ejected for fighting
after the second period, as a melee erupted at the buzzer after a
controversial goal by MC's Rob Beck that was later disallowed.
