The Providence College Hockey team plays its home games at Schneider Arena
and that's where all the hockey banners are.  The basketball team plays at
the Civic Center and that's where the basketball banners are.  Those banners
are there for virtually all events at the Civic Center (including the
Providence Bruins.)  They were not placed there specifically for the
tournement.  To expect the Civic Center to remove those banners (or make room
for a new set of hockey banners) because the NCAA tourney is being played
there would be like asking the Boston Garden to remove the Celtics banners
because they didn't apply to college hockey.  Be impressed by the fact that
they redid the lines to accomodate college hockey and repainted all the ice
designs to include the NCAA logo and don't worry about what banners are
hanging from the rafters.
